Has this ever happened to you? I woke yesterday with soreness EVERYWHERE. Just like after exercising really hard, but I didn't exercise. It's like there was a fight I was a part of, and don't remember it the next day. In my muscles, which I know I hadn't been using, on arms and legs and especially gastro muscles. This makes me wonder.

And now I'm a little embarassed, all I ever write here is weird stuff that goes on to me. I want to take down my old posts, they make me cringe, I won't though. Just read them all with a grain of salt. And some sugar, with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Stir while heating, then pour evenly onto a pan and let cool for two hours. Mmmmmm :).

Seriously, guys, help me out. What should I write here? Have you read any good books lately? I need one to read.

EDIT OK, a desparate attempt to have anything to say, I got this memememe from Maeve66.

LJ Interests meme results

agl:
Actually, I'd rather not say to much.

caffeine:
Who doesn't! Although I don't want to become someone who needs it to get going in the mornings.

creative writing:
Maybe my past life. I definitely wanted to be a writer when I was little.

creativity:
I really need to trim down, and redo my interests lists don't I :).

dreams:
When they actually happen, I had some really fun ones back a long time ago that I'll never forget. They still happen.

eating:
Again, who doesn't. I can't get going in the mornings without eating.

ft2:
Nice for playing with music and midi files when I was more into computer music.

long phone calls:
Well, I have to, moving around every few years and less.

movies:
As you can tell. Not regular popular movies though, more like foreign films or ones with thought-provoking themes.

orchestral music:
Not for a while, actually.

Enter your LJ user name, and 10 interests will be selected from your interest list.

Swallowing Caustics

This is depressing but practical and really short. Three minutes of your time?

My friend has a child (very young) who swallowed drain unclogger recently. The child had to get a stomach pump, and now, they have to go to the doctor periodically so they can stick a tube down their throat and inflate a little balloon to scrape away all the scar tissue that's building up. This is not going to go away! Imagine being that child-rushed to the emergency room and then having to deal with yucky doctor visits as they inflate little balloons in your oesophagus, knowing that you got yourself into the mess (even though grownups keep saying it isn't your fault, isn't that a sign that it really is but they don't want you to think it is?).

If you know children, then please! Don't let them anywhere near "Draino" or any poisons. You could never forgive yourself.

Hm, looks like people use "to swallow Drano" as an expression sometimes. I won't be able to use that expression ever. It makes me think of in the movie House of Sand and Fog, when a woman helps a girl who's tried to kill herself by swallowing medicine by making her throw up. What an unpleasant thing to have to do. But if we can prevent having to do that kind of thing, that would be great.

Edit: I should say, of course, never induce vomiting without asking the poison control first.

I've held two chopped radishes in my mouth for five minutes. Do not ask why, please. I am not a crazy juvenile!

2. I've had a conversation with phone lines crossed, and it took me almost five minutes to figure out that nobody on the other end could hear me. I thought it was a conference call! It made me feel so stupid because I'd been uhuhing and making little suggestions, and I assumed they heard me at first.

3. When I lived with my parents, we had two pugs named Lambert and Megan. I loved them, but I'll never have pets again.

4. I tried to write a book when I was 8. But we try lots of things when we're 8, don't we? The first line went something like this, "I existed in a room."

5. I had my friend change my LJ icon so much that hopefully noone will recognize me. And I am not just talking about the colors!

6. In 1989, I got into a fist fight with a teacher and earned the nickname "Rodin." What does "Rodin" have to do with a fist fight, you may ask? Yes, you may ask.

7. I was vegetarian between the ages 12 and 16. Actually, I should start up again, but it's a bit hard where I used to live.

8. I lived in Quebec for one week, thinking I was going to stay there for the rest of my life. During my time there, I demonstrated how much my French skills had deteriorated.

9. I was born in Spain, but I am by no means a Spaniard.

10. I once was in the same building as Jonny Depp. Like anyone cares, I mean seriously! Running out of interesting things here.

So there you have it. My unabridged autobiography.
Technology in the Schoolhouse

My friend, they're having so much technology in the classroom. It's supposed to be a GOOD thing, you know, when they fill out surveys on teachers and are asked whether the teacher integrates the computer into the learning experience. But look at this: HTTP://PMAKI.PROBOARDS43.COM. They have them submit all of their homework by computer, and I hear there are many problems with technology issues and everything, so it probably causes more problems then it solves. But I suppose, it will save on wasting trees if nobody uses paper anymore. I don't know what to think, but the proboards aren't very popular there.

Must resist making comments everyone's making about yet more bombings everywhere, getting worse. Gross, eggregious pictures on the front covers. It is too easy for us to sit here doing our job making our money not caring.

Here's my political party survey results. I got it from maeve66

You scored as Green. <'Imunimaginative's Deviantart Page'>

Green

100%

Democrat

92%

Anarchism

83%

Socialist

75%

Communism

33%

Republican

8%

Nazi

0%

Fascism

0%

</td>

What Political Party Do Your Beliefs Put You In?
created with QuizFarm.com

OK, pretty accurate, I should say. Arthur Miller, I guess. But I don't want to write about just death here. I liked his books, especially that movie version of Salesman. All I ever see is Flash this and Acrobat reader.

<del>If there is at least one person in your life whom you consider a close friend, and whom you would not have met without the Internet, post this sentence in your journal.</del>
Should I feel left out :P.
Last Night

I know I never post here, but I want to share something about all this, that I've never mentioned.

Last night, I was too cold under the covers. Air kept seeping in and made me really mad, so I got no sleep, and when I finally did, it was no good. I woke up at some random time (couldn't check watch), and I was scared. I mean really, I just felt afraid and vulnerable in the dark, but I don't know what about.

And then I went by the stairs, and from below, I heard something that was like some Savoie goat braying, or like a twisted scream almost. But it was loud and coming right from below, and I had no idea what, and even through my (locked) door... if it was a person snoring, that is not a healthy noise for a person to be making. And it stopped fast enough, and I point out I was really scared before I heard it.

And, my phone's lines keep getting crossed, or some strange noise. Could be because of the snow? I got a call not long after waking up, early at dawn, and two guys were talking and couldn't hear me. One I thought I recognized, but it wasn't loud enough to hear enough.

It makes me laugh when in the day I'm not scared at all, but at night I had to turn on the TV really quietly, which usually helps, but that's just like tuning into the mind controlling TV, isn't it.

But this isn't the first time it's happened, just the first time I've heard that weird noise. I guess it could be cats or some explanation.

I can take scorn, but torture still rates among the world's most intolerable aspect. It's too bad that if you're my friend list, you probably GAVE me this link. I need more friends... I'll ave to recruit Jenn to get a Livejournal blog.

What's been up lately? My friends page has been a nice news reel. Better than how I used to read about everyone's relationship trouble and depression. Annoyed the heck out of me, but I still feel badly for not helping anyone, for just disappearing.

So you masses, who read my journal are deprived of the essays that reveal my innermost confessions. I'll see you around.

In other words, I need a tutorial for this site that's simple. So I can actually make this look tolerably not ugly. But yes, I live once more. This is what I'm driven to do when I can't sleep. Regarding the election and all, since everyone keeps pestering me about it: I'm convinced there must be a better way. And not just small changes. I don't care that it's all over. I'm sick of hearing about it. Yes, you know who you are. If you're actually reading this.
The days of insane things flying past my head are coming to a close. That much I know, and it's been a while. This site lets me write in the date for entries. You couldn't get away with that at work.

I'm beginning to think about what exactly I can use this for.
